Workshop: Television journalism - working in television

The professions that have "something to do with media" also include working in a television editorial office. As is usual in journalism, the basic tasks here are to edit texts or write them yourself. However, it is even more important to tell a story and link it with gripping and emotional images. It is essential to be able to "think in pictures" and to have basic knowledge of camera work and digital image editing.

Anyone who is interested can find this information about the job description without having to ask an expert. But what does the day-to-day work actually look like? Are there regular routines or do you usually have to be able to react spontaneously and flexibly? What personal skills do you need to be successful as a television editor? How is an editorial office structured and who does what?

Julia Möller, editor at RTL Hessen, will tell you all this and much more. She graduated with a BA in German Studies from the University of Kassel in 2012 and has been working in television ever since.

The event will take place on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 from 16:00-18:00 in room 0019 at Kurt-Wolters-Straße 5. Registration is not required. All interested parties are welcome.
