Research Assistant (EG 13 TV-H) - in the Department of Theoretical Philosophy

Part-time with 65.00 percent of the regular working hours of a full-time employee. The position is initially for 24 months as part of the DFG-funded project "Forms of Practice, Forms of Knowledge: Method, Notation and the Dynamics of Perspectives in the Life Sciences", Head: Dr. Robert Meunier (§ 2 para. 2 WissZeitVG). The possibility of a doctorate is given.

The project aims to develop a model of scientific practice in the life sciences that makes it possible to understand how different forms of scientific action lead to different forms of knowledge. This model will be used to reconstruct scientific change in the form of complex dynamic relationships between research fields. Tasks:

Development of a sub-project within the above-mentioned research project. Collaboration in the planning and execution of activities within the project (conferences, online representation, etc.) as well as in the self-administration of the project. Teaching is not required, but is possible within the framework of teaching assignments. The opportunity for further academic qualification (doctorate) is given.

Requirements:

Completed academic degree in philosophy, history of science or science and technology studies. The vacancy is aimed at people who are aiming for a doctorate. The ability to work in a team and a willingness to collaborate across disciplines are expected. A demonstrable interest in questions of philosophy of science, philosophy of life sciences, history of life sciences or social science approaches to science studies is desirable. Experience in the field of academic self-administration or website management is desirable.
