Research Assistant (EG 13 TV-H) - in the Department of Chemical Hybrid Materials

Part-time with half the regular working hours of a full-time employee. The position is initially limited to 3 years with the possibility of extension for a further two years (qualification position according to § 65 HHG in conjunction with § 2 para. 1 WissZeitVG). The possibility of a doctorate is given.

Tasks:

• Scientific collaboration in the field of synthesis of redox-active organometallic main group compounds
• Synthesis and characterization of organic and inorganic molecular compounds
• Communication and cooperation in the interdisciplinary and international project network of the department
• Participation in the preparation of publications and research proposals
• Participation in the teaching of the department

Requirements:

• University degree in nanostructure sciences with very good results
• Practical experience and solid knowledge in organic, organo-elemental and inorganic synthesis chemistry, using inert gas technology, in the fields of phosphaferrocenophanes and multifunctional silylalkynyl phosphanes
• Negotiable communication skills in German, English and Ukrainian
• Proficiency in software for literature research and chemical databases
• Experience in the supervision and implementation of internships and tutorials

Advantageous are:

• Solid prior knowledge of organophosphorus chemistry including elements of groups 13, 14 and 16
• Thorough and independent working methods
• A high degree of organizational skills
