W 3 - Professorship "Didactics of Biology" (m/f/d) - in the Department of Mathematics and Natural Sciences

In teaching, the subject didactics of biology is to be represented in the teacher training courses for grammar schools, for lower secondary schools and secondary modern schools as well as in the subject teaching for elementary school. Teaching experience in the context of education for sustainable development, experience with biology didactic teaching-learning laboratories as well as the willingness to continue and further develop existing offers of biology didactics at the University of Kassel are desirable. The willingness to participate in the Center for Teacher Education (ZLB) and the Center for Empirical Teaching/Learning Research (ZELL) is expected as well as the successful acquisition and implementation of externally funded projects and experience in the areas of project management and personnel management.

For this professorship, participation in the academic self-governance of the university is part of the official duties.

The hiring requirements and performance requirements pursuant to Sections 61, 62 of the Hessian Higher Education Act apply.

In addition to a doctorate in biology didactics or in the subject of biology, hiring requirements include a relevant habilitation or habilitation-equivalent achievements as well as teaching experience in the field of biology didactics. According to § 62 of the Hessian Higher Education Act, proof of practical experience in schools is required.
