Research assistant (m/f/d), EG 13 TV-H - in the field of urban planning

Part-time with half of the regular working time of a full-time employee. The position is initially limited for 3 years with the possibility of extension for another 2 years (qualification position according to § 65 HHG in connection with § 2 Abs. 1 Satz 1 WissZeitVG). The possibility of doctoral studies is given.

Tasks:

• Independent conception and implementation of courses in the BA / MA program in the field of urban planning.
• Scientific collaboration in research and in self-administration, in particular participation in scientific publications, documentation and exhibitions of the department
• Independent work on a research subfield in the research focus Transformation of the car-oriented city or a self-selected research topic

Requirements:

• Completed academic university studies in architecture, urban planning, or landscape architecture at a university or equivalent institution of higher education
• Excellent skills in urban design, in the design of public spaces, in the organization of urban planning processes, and basic knowledge of architectural and urban theory
• Good verbal and written communication skills (German and English), collegiality, independence and initiative as well as a confident use of digital media
