Research assistant (m/f/d), EG 13 TV-H - in the field of animal breeding

Part-time with half the regular working hours of a full-time employee. The position is initially limited to 9 months (§ 2 para. 1 sentence 1 WissZeitVG).

Tasks:

• Scientific collaboration in research and teaching in the field of animal breeding
• Supervision of preliminary investigations for future research projects in the field of animal breeding
• Writing a DFG project proposal for the genomic characterization of small populations

Requirements:

• Successfully completed scientific university degree in agricultural sciences (MSc) or comparable degree programs
• Very good knowledge in the field of recording behavioral traits
• Experience in using MS Office and at least one common statistical software (R or SAS)
• Very good written and spoken English skills

Advantageous are:

• Thorough and independent working methods
• A high degree of organizational skills
