1.5 Research Assistant (m/f/d) EG 13 TV-H - in the field of transportation planning and transportation systems

The positions are initially limited until 31.03.2022 as part of the project "Social2Mobility: More social participation through integrated spatial, transport and social planning" (§ 2 para. 2 WissZeitVG). Opportunities for a doctorate are available. Extensions will be sought.

Tasks:

• Preparation of the national and international state of research on social participation in connection with mobility
• Conception of a quantitative household survey on mobility, analysis and evaluation of the survey results
• Further development of planning procedures taking into account the social dimension of sustainability
• Publication of the research results in scientific journals
• Presentation and discussion of the research results at conferences

Prerequisites:

• A university degree (master's or diploma) in the field of transportation, preferably in the fields of transportation engineering, civil engineering, environmental engineering, industrial engineering, urban planning, spatial planning, computer science, mathematics, transportation economics or geography, with at least good grades
• Good written and spoken German and English language skills

An advantage:

• Good specialist knowledge in the fields of "integrated transport planning" and "transport demand modeling"
• Good knowledge of empirical research methods
• Thorough and independent way of working
• A high degree of organizational and teamwork skills
• Very good presentation and documentation skills
• Experience with common statistical programs such as R or SPSS
