The Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Kassel has an opening for a position of a professor of Production Planning in Construction.
The professorship is supposed to deal with the field of Production Planning in Construction in research and teaching with a focus on Lean Construction. It is expected that the applicant will be scientifically proven in one or more of the following research areas:
- Development and optimization of methods of constructionrelated production planning
- Construction methods
- Logistics in construction
- Construction-related management systems.
In the teaching of Civil and Industrial Engineering the professorship will cover major aspects of Production Planning in Construction.
In addition to proven outstanding scientific work in relevant research areas, very good didactic skills and the readiness for interdisciplinary professional cooperation are expected. Experiences with the acquisition and management of third-party funded research projects as well as professional experience in the construction industry are desirable.
Active participation in the further curriculum development of civil engineering courses and programs as well as participation in the academic administrative autonomy are job-related tasks.
