Staff member (m/f/d) EG 11 TV-H - in the Department of Social-Ecological Interactions in Agricultural Systems

Part-time with 50.00 percent of the regular working hours of a full-time employee. The position is limited according to § 14 para. 1 sentence 2 No. 1 TzBfG initially for 3 years to work on the DFG project "Sustainability through linking places and processes: socio-ecological dynamics and value chains of landscape products in the Mediterranean".

Your tasks:

• Collaboration in project management and science communication in the above mentioned DFG project.
• Independent research and development of texts and graphics in different communication formats
• Establishment of media contacts
• Maintaining a presence for the department on various social media platforms
• Organization of the internal data management and the internet presence of the department
• Contributing to the preparation of research proposals

Requirements profile:

• Completed university studies (BA degree), ideally in the humanities or social sciences.
• Enthusiasm for communicating the results of sustainability science in politics and society
• Experience in journalism and/or science PR as well as open-mindedness for social media
• Very good command of written and spoken English
• Experience in project management
• Assertiveness, organizational and teamwork skills
• Demonstrated high level of initiative, creativity, and an engaging and winning demeanor.
• Willingness to learn how to produce graphic and video material

Witzenhausen is a small but vibrant university town known for its degree programs in organic agricultural sciences. It is located in the middle of Germany within commuting distance to Kassel and Göttingen.
