Technician or foreman (m/f/d), (up to EG 9 TV-H) - in the field of cutting and joining production processes

The position is initially limited until 31.05.2021 to work on the project "InKoSave - Combined in-situ laser beam / laser cladding of stainless steels for protection against intercrystalline corrosion" (§ 14 para. 1 sentence 2 no. 1 TzBfG).

The Department of Cutting and Joining Manufacturing Processes at the University of Kassel is concerned with both cutting and joining manufacturing processes. At the department, the areas of joining technology, mechanical processing and research on new material systems form key topics. 

Tasks:

• Supervision of test rigs and plant technology, especially in the field of mechanical processing
• Computer-aided design of test fixtures and components
• Manufacturing/assembly and commissioning of test devices and operating stands
• Manufacturing of test specimens
• Independent preparation and execution of experiments
• Maintenance and servicing of laboratory equipment

Requirements:

• Successfully completed training as an industrial mechanic, toolmaker or cutting machine operator or similar training or further training as a technician or foreman
• Confident in the operation and programming of machines and systems (CNC and NC controls)
• Experience in computer-aided design (CAD)
• Careful, independent and team-oriented way of working
• Experienced handling of MS Office
