Research assistant (m/f/d), EG 13 TV-H - in the field of organic plant breeding

Part-time with half the regular working hours of a full-time employee. The position is limited to 24 months (§ 14 para. 2 TzBfG).

Tasks:

• Expansion and coordination of the Organic Plant Breeding Group.
• Assumption of administrative tasks within the management group of the department.
• Coordination of the field trials of the department.
• Assumption of tasks within the teaching load of the department for "Organic Plant Breeding" in German and English.
• Independent application for research projects in the field of organic plant breeding

Prerequisites:

• University degree in biology or agricultural sciences with at least good grades.
• Doctorate in the field of plant breeding
• Proof of experience in leading a research group
• Proof of successful project acquisition and experience in the administration of project plans.
• Proof of experience in planning and conducting field trials
• Proof of experience in university teaching
• Very good knowledge of German and English

Advantageous are

• Experience with practical plant breeding
• Solid knowledge of organic farming
• Networking in organic plant breeding

The person to be hired must never have been employed by the employer "Land Hessen"; this does not apply to a vocational training relationship.
