Research Assistant (m/f/d), EG 13 TV-H - in the Department of Civil Law, Corporate and Competition Law

Part-time with half of the regular working hours of a full-time employee. The position is initially limited for 3 years with the possibility of extension for another 2 years (qualification position according to § 65 HHG in connection with § 2 Abs. 1 Satz 1 WissZeitVG). The possibility for doctoral studies is given.

Tasks:

• Scientific collaboration in research and teaching in the field of Prof. Dr. Martina Deckert
• Independent work in a research area (doctoral project)
• Independent preparation and implementation of tutorials and courses (2 SWS teaching load)
• Collaboration in the preparation and organization of lectures of the department
• Collaboration in the preparation, organization and realization of seminars, workshops and conferences
• Collaboration in the development of the consecutive course of studies in business law
• Support of the department head in self-administration and committee tasks
• Organizational tasks and coordination with other departments within and outside the university

Requirements:

• Academic university studies in business law completed with at least good grades
• Special interest and profound knowledge in the field of private business law and European law
• Sound knowledge in the field of economic analysis of law and the economic relations of business law
• Good knowledge of the consecutive course of studies in business law at the University of Kassel
• Result orientation and organizational skills
• Thorough and independent way of working

Advantageous are:

• Prior knowledge in the areas of corporate law and digitalization
• In-depth knowledge in the intended doctoral subject in business law
• Relevant professional experience
• Talent and inclination for scientific work
• Interest in university teaching
