Academic (Senior) Councillor (m/f/d), A 13/ 14 HBesG - in the Department of Experimental Physics III

Tasks:

• Services in research and teaching in the field of experimental physics III "Femtosecond spectroscopy and ultrafast laser control",
• Collaboration in projects of the working group and in the application for new research projects as well as the independent management of research projects, especially in the field of ultrafast electron diffraction,
• Co-supervision of student and research assistants,
• Collaboration in the "Center for Interdisciplinary Nanostructure Science and Technology - CINSaT" of the University of Kassel and the DFG Collaborative Research Center "Extreme Light for the Analysis and Control of Molecular Chirality (ELCH)",
• The teaching load is based on the applicable teaching obligation regulations and currently amounts to 14 semester hours per week,
• Teaching includes supervision of the advanced practical course,

Prerequisites:

• Completed PhD in experimental physics and post-doctoral experience as well as active publication record,
• International research experience and experience in supervising PhD students,
• Teaching experience in the scientific management of advanced practical courses and giving lectures and exercises,
• Very good expertise in the field of experimental femtosecond spectroscopy, preferably AMOP (atoms, molecules, quantum optics and plasmas) and solid-state environments,
• Experience in research projects, especially in the fields of ultrafast electron diffraction and chiral molecules,
• Proof of successful research proposals,
• Mastery of a wide range of methods, especially in the detection of charged particles and the processing and analysis of large amounts of data.
