Research Assistant (m/f/d), EG 13 TV-H - in the Department of Theoretical Atomic and Molecular Physics

Part-time with half the regular working hours of a full-time employee. The position is initially limited until 31.05.2020 with the possibility of extension (qualification position according to § 65 HHG in conjunction with § 2 para. 1 sentence 1 WissZeitVG). The possibility of a doctorate is given.

Your tasks:

Collaboration in the development of theoretical methods and programs for the description of the electron continuum in polyatomic molecules; independent work on a research subfield in the field of multi-photon photoelectron circular dichroism for chiral molecules in strong laser fields; preparation of scientific publications in English; research of technical literature; provision of scientific services for the organization, preparation and implementation of teaching in the field of theoretical physics

Your requirements:

Completed scientific university degree (Master or comparable degree) in theoretical physics, solid knowledge of theoretical physics and quantum mechanics; publications in the above-mentioned field of theoretical atomic and molecular physics are desirable; programming experience; good knowledge of English; organizational skills and willingness to pursue further scientific qualifications in theory and practice

Advantageous are:

• Expertise in the theoretical description of the electron continuum in molecules
• Experience in the calculation of multi-photon photoelectron circular dichroism of chiral molecules
• Thorough and independent working style
• A high degree of organizational skills
