Technician (m/f/d), EG 9 TV-H - in the field of steel and composite construction

Tasks:

In the area of measurement and control technology (scope approx. 50%):

Independent preparation, setup and execution of component tests in the structural engineering laboratory as well as design and setup of demonstration models for lectures. Development of the necessary measurement and control software. Operation of the necessary equipment, in particular hydraulic cylinders and vibration tables. System administration of the computers and the department's own network.

In the area of CAD design (scope approx. 50%).:

Support of the international scientific staff at the chair in the construction of experimental setups with CAD. Graphical and media support in the preparation of lectures, teaching material and publications, also in English. Independent photogrammetric recording of components and conversion into CAD models. Maintenance of the department's homepage.

Requirements:

Completed state technician training or equivalent. A high degree of personal initiative, commitment and a very good grasp of things coupled with an open mind for new tasks.

Advantages:

Good English language skills, especially in communication.

Additionally in the field of measurement and control technology:

Experience in software-based measurement and control technology, programming skills.

Preferably experience with hydraulic test systems.

Additionally in the area of CAD design:

Experience with 3D CAD design, particularly AUTOCAD and Advanced Steel. Preferably experience with photogrammetry.
