Research assistant (m/f/d), EG 13 TV-H - in the field of measurement technology

The position is initially limited for 3 years with the possibility of extension for a further 2 years (qualification position according to § 65 HHG in conjunction with § 2 para. 1 sentence 1 WissZeitVG). The possibility of a doctorate is given.

Tasks:

• Carrying out research work in the field of optical metrology, in particular interferometry,
• Design, construction and assembly of complex optical measurement systems, 
• Preparation and publication of scientific results,
• Support in teaching (practical courses, exercises) and in the further development of the courses offered by the department,
• Support in the acquisition of third-party funded projects.

Requirements:

• Completed scientific university degree (Master's/Diploma) in electrical engineering or related courses,
• Experience, knowledge and interest in the field of optical precision measurement technology,
• Knowledge of the development of electronic control modules, measurement data evaluation and signal processing,
• Independent, careful, committed and cooperative way of working,
• Enjoyment of scientific work in a promising subject area,
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
