Research Assistant (m/f/d), EG 13 TV-H - in the Department of Developmental Genetics

Part-time with half the regular working hours of a full-time employee.

Tasks:

• Scientific collaboration in research and teaching in the field of developmental genetics
• Teaching in the nanostructure sciences degree program
• Independent work on a research sub-area in the cell and developmental biology of Drosophila melanogaster

Prerequisites:

• Successfully completed university degree in biology with a focus on genetics/molecular cell biology
• Completed doctorate in the field of molecular cell biology with very good to good results
• Sound expertise in cell culture, protein biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology
• Expertise in Drosophila cross-genetics, immunocytochemistry, fluorescence microscopy
• Expertise in protein secretion, transmembrane proteins and cell polarity
• Publications in the field of membrane biology, cell polarity, Drosophila
• Qualification in biological safety according to §§ 15, 17 of the Genetic Engineering Safety Ordinance

Advantageous are:

• Relevant experience in supervising final year students in biological degree programs
