Research Assistant (m/f/d), EG 13 TV-H - in the field of German as a Foreign and Second Language

The University of Kassel has successfully applied for funding within the framework of the BMBF's "Quality Offensive Teacher Education" with the project "Professionalization through Networking (PRONET)". The project is now in the extension phase and is now called ^PRONET2.

Part-time with half of the regular working time of a full-time employee (20 hours per week). The position is limited until 30.09.2021(§ 2 Abs. 2 WissZeitVG).

Tasks:

• Development, testing and evaluation of a blended learning offer for the already existing DaZ basic module (teaching in the amount of 2 SWS as well as supervision of student work).
• Development and application of instruments for the evaluation of the DaZ basic module and the blended learning offer
• Evaluation, writing up and presentation of the evaluation results
• Conception and testing of an evaluation instrument for the assessment of the learning status and the learning progress of the participants in the blended learning offers
• Continuation and expansion of existing cooperations with various subject didactics and project partners
• Cooperation with the PRONET project "Making learning states and learning processes visible with contrasting videos (KONTRAST)" (P29): Testing of instructional videos for language level diagnosis and integration into blended learning offerings.

Prerequisites:

• A very good academic university degree, preferably a teaching degree with completed traineeship in the subjects German, DaF/DaZ or a very good Master's degree in the subjects DaF/DaZ or German studies.
• project experience in empirical research
• good knowledge especially in quantitative and qualitative research methods or the willingness to quickly learn the application of complex methodological procedures
• teaching experience in school (e.g. teaching DaZ in integration courses) and/or university desirable
• independent, responsible and reliable working style
• good analytical and communication skills as well as a confident appearance also in front of larger groups
• very good or native German language skills
• very good computer skills (Microsoft Office, Moodle)
