Research assistant (m/f/d), EG 13 TV-H - in the field of organic farming and crop production

Part-time with half the regular working hours of a full-time employee. The position is initially limited to 2.5 years (§ 2 para. 2 WissZeitVG).

Tasks:

• Implementation of a research project for the development of substrates for the close range of laying hen houses 
• Planning, design and evaluation of relevant model trials
• Preparation and interim and final reports
• Writing of relevant scientific and practical articles 
• Supervision of student projects and theses
• Supervision of technicians and student assistants

Requirements and expectations of the applicant:

• MSc degree in agricultural sciences, preferably with a focus on organic farming
• Very good knowledge of organic farming, especially the topics of nitrogen management and nitrogen leaching
• If possible, good knowledge of nutrient problems in outdoor stables
• Good knowledge of the design and evaluation of exact agricultural trials
• Driving license B

• Ability to work in a team and willingness to work in an interdisciplinary environment
   

Advantageous are:

• Practical trial experience, especially with model trials
• Experience or knowledge of project management
• Good knowledge of the English language

The work locations are Frankenhausen and Witzenhausen.
