The Department of Cutting and Joining Manufacturing Processes at the University of Kassel is concerned with both cutting and joining manufacturing processes. The department focuses on adhesive bonding technology and research on wood-based material systems. Here, numerous issues related to adhesive bonding and the technical use of wood-based materials are investigated both in publicly funded projects and in industrial projects.
Tasks:
Within the framework of a publicly funded project, innovative wood-based material systems based on willow wood rails are to be researched and characterized, and suitable joining processes are to be developed, in cooperation with industrial and research partners.
