The position is initially limited until 30.09.2021 as part of the "E-Mobility Lab" project (§ 2 para. 1 WissZeitVG). The possibility of a doctorate is given.
Tasks:
The intended introduction of electromobility on a large scale requires a massive expansion of the charging infrastructure in private and public spaces. Intelligent energy management and local grid-supporting measures such as storage batteries and renewable energy sources can help to reduce the necessary grid expansion and make it more effective. In order to evaluate these concepts, the development of a generic, modular and scalable simulation environment for charging infrastructures is planned as part of a publicly funded project. It will be used to investigate and evaluate expansion scenarios and operating strategies, taking into account various charging requirements and a wide range of energy sources and storage systems. For this purpose, we are looking for a research assistant with the following tasks
- Designing an architecture for the planned simulation environment
- Definition of data formats and interfaces
- Implementation of the simulation environment with its interfaces
- Integration of the generation and load profiles
- Carrying out simulation studies for various expansion scenarios and taking into account different technologies
- Variation of input data and evaluation of sensitivity
Requirements:
- University degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, physics or computer engineering with an affinity for electrical energy technology, with at least a good grade
Advantageous are:
- Experience with agent-based modeling methods
- In-depth knowledge of Matlab/Simulink and experience with simulation environments
- Interest in interdisciplinary work, ability to work in a team and communication skills in contact with project partners
- Independent and reliable way of working
