Scientific employee (m/f/d), EG 13 TV-H - in the field of vocational education with an industrial-technical focus

Part-time with half of the regular working time of a full-time employee. The position is initially limited for 3 years with the possibility of extension for another 2 years (qualification position according to § 65 HHG in connection with § 2 Abs. 1 Satz 1 WissZeitVG). The possibility for doctoral studies is given.

Tasks:

• Scientific collaboration in research and teaching in the field of vocational education with an industrial-technical focus
• Independent work on a research area in the field of vocational didactics of technology and media didactics
• Participation in course organization and advising within the framework of the Bachelor's and Master's degree programs in vocational pedagogy with the vocational specializations of metal technology and electrical engineering
• Participation in course planning and implementation as well as evaluation of courses in the modules of didactics of technology and didactics of vocational education within the bachelor's and master's degree programs in vocational education with the vocational specializations metal technology and electrical engineering.
• Participation in the digitalization of teaching as well as preparation and implementation of the project TWIND: Technology and Economy Integrated Didactics
• Participation in regular departmental work including examination administration and acceptance
• Participation in the cooperation with study seminars, vocational schools in the region, internal university partners and development of viable and sustainable structures of cooperation
• Participation in the acquisition of third-party funding projects and in public relations work for the study programs of vocational pedagogy

Requirements:

• Academic university degree in vocational education with very good to good results, specializing in electrical engineering or metal technology
• Knowledge of quantitative or qualitative research methods
• Experience using data analysis software (e.g., SPSS, MaxQDA) or a strong willingness to quickly learn how to apply complex statistical procedures
• Experience with learning management systems, such as Moodle or Mahara
• Experience as a student assistant or tutor
• Good analytical skills
• Good knowledge of and high interest in subject didactic research in vocational education metal technology or electrical engineering
• Thorough, independent and responsible work habits
• A high degree of organizational skills
• Reliability, ability to work in a team, commitment and perseverance

Advantageous are:

• Vocational specialization in electrical engineering
