Frenetic reporters - A job in television

The job as a reporter is certainly anything but boring. Constantly on the lookout for topics, on the road a lot and in lively contact with other people, always being fast and still telling good stories that captivate viewers. You learn the craft, but you also have to be able to approach others openly.

At the information event, you will receive a lot of information about the job of a reporter. What are the daily tasks? How resilient do you have to be? What skills do you need and how do you have to be personally structured to enjoy your job? And last but not least: What is the best way to enter the profession and what are the prospects?

The speaker Sonja Röbig currently works at ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE and has already filmed numerous reports. She completed her BA in German Studies with us in 2011 and then went on to complete a Master's degree in Literature and Media Practice in Duisburg. She will tell you about her everyday professional life, about how she got started and will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

The event will take place on November 21, 2019 from 16:00-18:00 (s.t.) at the Campus Center (Moritzstr. 18) , room 1112. The event is also open to interested students from other departments.
