Research Assistant (m/f/d), EG 13 TV-H - at the Institute of Social Work

Part-time with two thirds of the regular working time of a full-time employee. The position is initially limited for three years (qualification position according to § 65 HHG in connection with § 2 Abs. 1 Satz 1 WissZeitVG). The possibility of doctoral studies is given.

Tasks:

• Independent research (doctorate)
• Teaching at the Institute of Social Work
• Research support and third-party funding acquisition of a post-doc with the research topic disability and assistance animals (Dr. Birkan Tas).

Requirements:

• Academic university degree (Master or equivalent) in a relevant field (e.g. sociology, social sciences, social work, social anthropology, cultural studies) completed with at least good grades The required degree must be received no later than the date of hire.
• Ability to work in a team and to conduct independent research under supervision
• Very good command of written and spoken English

Advantageous are:

• Theoretical knowledge in the field of human-animal studies, disability studies, or queer studies.
• Interest in the application of qualitative social science research methods
• A high degree of organizational skills
• Experience in interdisciplinary research
