Research Associate (m/f/d), EG 13 TV-H - in the Department of Finance

Part-time with half of the regular working time of a full-time employee. The position is initially limited for 3 years with the possibility of extension for another 2 years (qualification position according to § 2 Abs. 1 Satz 1 WissZeitVG). The possibility of a doctorate is given. An increase to 75% of the regular working time of a full-time employee (30 hours per week) is possible.

Tasks:

• Scientific collaboration in research in the field of finance, especially local politics or behavioral public choice.
• Scientific collaboration in teaching in the field of Economic Policy, Public Economics, European Economics (also in English)
• Independent work on a research subfield in the field of finance

Requirements:

• Academic university degree in economics or related disciplines completed with at least good grades. The required degree must be received by the hiring date at the latest.
• Knowledge and initial experience in the field of empirical economic or social research.
• Knowledge in the field of the above mentioned research areas
• Interest in and ability to work scientifically - independently and in teams
• Good English language skills

Advantageous are:

• Knowledge of the German language (B2 or higher)
