Scientific employee (m/f/d), EG 13 TV-H - Solar and plant engineering department

Part-time with half of the regular working time of a full-time employee. The position is initially limited for 1 year (qualification position according to § 2 Abs. 1 Satz 1 WissZeitVG). The possibility of doctoral studies is given.

Tasks:

• Scientific collaboration in research and teaching in the field of solar and plant engineering
• Independent work on a research area in the field of open absorption processes and solar thermal energy
• Collaboration in research projects in the field of sorption processes
• Support in the execution of feasibility studies for the integration of renewable energies in sorption processes
• Independent communication with project partners in research projects
• Support of the scientific and practical education as well as the university self-administration

Requirements:

• Academic university degree with at least good grades in engineering or physics, ideally with a focus on renewable energies or thermal energy technology. The required degree must be received no later than the date of hire.
• Advanced knowledge of renewable heat supply systems, solar thermal systems, and modeling of heat and mass transfer processes.

Advantageous are:

• Experience in modeling open absorption (liquid desiccant) as well as adsorption processes. 
• Experience in working with suitable simulation environments (e.g. TRNSYS, Dymola)
• Proven project management skills
• Thorough and independent working style as well as high degree of organizational skills
