Teacher for special tasks (m/f/d), EG 13 TV-H - Department of Resource Management and Waste Technology

The position is part-time with half of the regular working time of a full-time employee. This is a maternity or parental leave replacement and the position is limited until 28.02.2021 (§ 14 para. 1 sentence 2 No. 3 Part-Time and Fixed-Term Act). 

Tasks:

• Teaching activities in the field of air pollution control and immission protection within the framework of the bachelor's degree program in environmental engineering.
• Independent teaching of courses in the environmental engineering program with a focus on air pollution control, using existing teaching materials
• Collaboration in the organization and preparation of teaching and the associated seminars, carrying out exercises for the lectures; taking examinations (colloquia, written examinations) for these courses
• Supervision of student work and participation in practical courses
• Collaboration in the processing of scientific projects in the field of environmental technology and waste engineering
• Initiating and contributing to research projects in the field of environmental engineering processes and waste technology

Requirements:

• Completed scientific university studies in one of the fields of environmental engineering, process engineering, environmental technology, chemical engineering or in another relevant field (e.g. physics, mechanical engineering...). The required degree must be received by the hiring date at the latest.
• Motivation to teach courses independently
• Willingness for further scientific qualification

Advantageous are:

• Teaching experience at university level
• Knowledge of the structure of the environmental engineering program
• Interest in didactic methods and innovative teaching
• Interest in further scientific qualification
