Research assistant (m/f/d), EG 13 TV-H - in the field of building conservation and timber construction

The position is initially limited to 3 years (qualification position according to § 2 para. 1 sentence 1 WissZeitVG). The possibility of a doctorate is given.

Tasks:

• Scientific collaboration in research and teaching in the field of building conservation and timber construction
• Independent work on a research sub-area, which we work on with international partners and in cooperation with medium-sized companies:
  • Timber structures under earthquake impact
  • Bonded composite structures made of wood and high-strength concretes
  • Novel form-fit connections in timber construction

Requirements:

• University degree in civil engineering (Master's/Diploma) with very good to good results The required degree must be available by the date of employment at the latest.
• Professional experience desired
• Good knowledge of timber construction
• Special interest in scientific work
• Willingness to work in a team
• Confident linguistic expression (German and English)
