Diversity Week: "The TikTok universe of the (extreme) right" | Input & discussion

Katharina Baumgartner (education officer at the Anne Frank Educational Center) moderates a panel discussion on "The TikTok universe of the (extreme) right" as part of the University of Kassel's Diversity Week. The AfD's current high approval ratings among young voters (aged 16 and 18-24) are attributed, among other things, to the high presence of far-right actors on social media, especially on the TikTok platform, which is popular among young people. After an input on the characteristics of the platform, the plenum will discuss the questions: Does TikTok radicalize young people and what is a good way to deal with political content on the platform?
