Guest at the Rectorate #28

In the context of his exhibition Philip Weyer shows exhibits that interact in different ways with the users and nature. This is a selection of his works that form a functional alternative to conventional, non-sustainable products, provoke user interaction or are to be understood as a protest.

Philip Weyer studies product design and focuses on sustainable developments and solutions in the field of design. In his work, he incorporates traditional craftsmanship, modern production methods, and decentralized manufacturing into the design process. With his designs, Weyer wants to build bridges between people and their behavior towards products and nature. For him, longevity and value in product development are inseparable.

The exhibition format "Guest in the Rector's Office" was initiated in spring 2012. With two exhibitions per semester, the Rector's Office of the Kunsthochschule Kassel offers students, graduates and teachers an unusual presentation space for their work.
