The Competence Center Gender Studies in Transformation at the University of Kassel invites you to a public discussion lab entitled "Hostility to Science, Democracy and Gender: Networked Action!" on February 9, 2026 from 4 to 6 pm. The event will take place in the foyer of the Campus Center (Moritzstraße 18).

Together with Johanna Leinius (Cornelia Goethe Centrum, Frankfurt), Friz M. Trzeciak (Fachgesellschaft Geschlechterstudien) and Dirk Schulz (Konferenz der Einrichtungen für Frauen- und Geschlechterstudien im deutschsprachigen Raum), current challenges posed by hostility towards science will be discussed and perspectives for networked action in the field of tension between democracy and gender will be explored.

The discussion lab is aimed at students, academics and an interested public and sees itself as an open forum for exchange, networking and joint reflection.
