Gender structures all areas of our society. Gender studies examines the significance of the category of gender for the social order of a society, inequalities in gender relations and the construction, appropriation and displacement of gender difference. The analyses and social science approaches of gender studies encompass an exciting interdisciplinary field.
The interdisciplinary introduction is a lecture series offered annually in the winter semester, which offers insights into various theoretical perspectives of gender studies. The course is accompanied by a tutorial in which in-depth texts are discussed, which are made available in a Moodle course.
In the course, a certificate for module 1 or 2 can be obtained by writing a 10-page term paper on a lecture topic. The certificate is valid for the subject area of the supervising lecturer.
