Location Witzenhausen

Witzenhausen, which is known as the romantic cherry town in the Werra valley, is situated in a beautiful landscape typical of the central uplands in Germany. Protected by the foothills of Kaufung Forest and the Hoher Meissner massif, the small town in the north of the state of Hesse is located right at the centre of Germany. The surroundings with forests are dominated by agriculture on a small scale.

Witzenhausen has almost 20,000 residents, including the outlying villages. More than 1,000 students are currently studying in Witzenhausen. The town’s manageable size and its elegant villages in the surrounding area and its proximity to Kassel and Göttingen give Witzenhausen a campus-like atmosphere as a place to study.
