Vice Pre­si­dent Prof. Dr Re­né Matz­dorf

René Matzdorf gained his university lecturing qualifications in experimental physics at the University of Kassel in 1997. After working in the USA, he took up a professorship in Würzburg in 2000. He returned to Kassel in 2003 and has been head of the unit of surface physics at the University since that time. Matzdorf is a member of the board of directors of the Centre for Teacher Education (Zentrum für Lehrerbildung). Matzdorf was also dean of studies in the faculty of mathematics and natural sciences from 2010 until 2017.
