- EURAXESS Germany Scholarship Database
There are a large number of public and private institutions in Germany that provide scholarships to foreign students and academics or support their study and research periods financially in some other way. The scholarship database at the Internet portal of EURAXESS Germany enables you to conduct extensive and detailed research work.
- DAAD Scholarship Database
The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) is the central institution for foreign academics who are planning to spend time conducting research in Germany. You will not only find scholarships from the DAAD itself in the DAAD Scholarship Database, but also those from other institutions. Please contact the DAAD for general questions and information on funding for research purposes.
- Humboldt Research Fellowships for Post-Doctoral Researchers
The Alexander von Humboldt Foundation enables highly qualified academics from abroad, who are just starting their academic careers and gained their PhD not less than four years ago, to spend time in Germany (6-24 months) for research purposes through the Humboldt Research Fellowships for Post-Doctoral Researchers. Academics from any specialist discipline and any country can apply for this support. Applications can be made at any time.
- Georg-Forster Research Fellowships for Post-Doctoral Researchers
The Alexander von Humboldt Foundation enables highly qualified academics from a developing country, who are just starting their academic careers and gained their PhD not less than four years ago (**), to spend time in Germany (6-24 months) for research purposes through the Georg Forster Research Fellowships for Post-Doctoral Researchers. Applications can be made at any time.
- Humboldt Research Fellowships for Experienced Researchers
The Alexander von Humboldt Foundation enables highly qualified academics from abroad, who gained their PhD not less than twelve years ago, to spend time in Germany (6-18 months, dividable into three periods) for research purposes through the Humboldt Research Fellowships for Experienced Researchers. Applicants are expected to have a clearly recognisable, self-contained academic profile.
