The CampusCard is a faithful friend to enable you to handle everyday life as a student: whether you are eating in a refectory, using the library or printing and copying – the CampusCard can help you in all these areas.
What does "validate" mean?
Validation means updating the card at one of the automatic machines that have been set up at each university site. This involves updating the data that is stored on the card in visual and electronic form, e.g. your semester ticket. The card loses its validity if it is not regularly validated.
How long are the student pass and semester ticket on the CampusCard valid?
Validation ensures that the passes are activated for the current semester – and the next one too, if you have already renewed your registration. You can see at eCampus (My Studies > Student Service) whether you have completed the reregistration process or not.
What you need to know about the card
If you have enrolled and do not yet have a CampusCard, you can order your first one online. If you are re-registering, the card will automatically be generated after your enrolment and sent to the postal address that you specified in your application. However, if your address is not in Germany, the card will not be posted. You can pick it up at the IT Help Desk (ITS, Mönchebergstrasse 11).
First, please block your card online at https://campuscard.uni-kassel.de. Then write an e-mail to campuscard[at]uni-kassel[dot]de to receive a replacement card. You can find more information under Lost/damaged.
Please report the defect immediately to campuscard[at]uni-kassel[dot]de. For more information, see Lost/damaged.
The semester ticket is valid in the whole area served by NVV (North Hesse Transport Network) and on selected routes operated by other transport companies to Göttingen, Fulda, Marburg and Paderborn. Please go to the website of the General Students’ Committee (AStA) to view the complete network of routes and obtain more information:
