Humboldt Research Scholarships for Post-Doctoral Academics

The Alexander von Humboldt Foundation enables extraordinarily qualified academics from abroad, who are just starting their academic careers and completed their doctorate no longer than four years ago, to spend a fairly long time (6 – 24 months) conducting research in Germany by means of its Humboldt Research Scholarships for Post-Doctoral Academics. Academics from any faculties and any country may apply. Applications can be submitted at any time.

 

Georg Forster Research Scholarships for Post-Doctoral Academics

The Alexander von Humboldt Foundation enables extraordinarily qualified academics from a developing country, who are just starting their academic careers and completed their doctorate no longer than four years ago(**), to spend a fairly long time (6 – 24 months) conducting research in Germany by means of its Georg Forster Research Scholarships for Post-Doctoral Academics. Applications can be submitted at any time.
 

Humboldt Research Scholarships for Experienced Academics

The Alexander von Humboldt Foundation enables extraordinarily qualified academics from abroad, who completed their doctorate no longer than twelve years ago, to spend fairly long periods of research (6 – 18 months, divisible into as many as three periods) in Germany by means of its Humboldt Research Scholarships for Experienced Academics. Applicants are expected to have a clearly recognisable, independent, academic profile. They should therefore normally already work as an assistant professor or a leader of a group of young academics or provide evidence of many years of independent academic work. Academics from any faculty and any country may apply. Applications can be submitted at any time.
