Mamaliga cu Braza from Romania, Turkish sekerpare, Australian fairy bread and palau from Iran: this semester’s International Dinner began at the Moritz restaurant, which is right next to the central refectory on HoPla, on Friday 12 May at 7 p.m. The main idea behind the International Dinner is simple – each person brings a dish made in their home country/culture for the buffet and each participant will be able to try the favourite dishes of people from all over the world. Afterwards, we agree on which dish was the best! Votes are awarded for the most delicious vegetarian and non-vegetarian contestant and the best dessert. The International Dinner at the Moritz Restaurant is a joint project organised by the Student Services Organisation, the Welcome Centre and the Buddy Programme. The hosts of this event are looking forward to seeing students from around the world and, naturally, the creative dishes that they bring with them!

Finding your way in a new place can be difficult.
Wouldn't it be great if you had somebuddy to help you find your way around campus and Kassel? An experienced student who can give you useful information and tips about living and studying in Kassel?
Your Buddy...
... is your personal contact person.
... helps you as soon as possible with your questions about the university and your course of studies.
... helps you to become familiar with the University of Kassel and the German culture.
You will socialize quickly with nice people inside and outside the university and improve your German language skills.
