Where fairy tales come true: Innovation conference TEDxKassel takes place for the third time

For the third time, the TEDxKassel conference offers a forum for discussion about the transformation of society, new forms of work and the challenges of digitalization. Under the motto "New Realities: Where Tales Come True," seven high-profile speakers from Kassel, Germany, the United States and Kenya will address the audience.

The international innovation and future conference TEDxKassel is organized by students of the Kassel University and young professionals. They founded the association "Infinity Kassel e. V." after the success of the last conference.

The topic of this year's conference is the increasing shift of our everyday life into the digital. How do we mentally react to this? How can we increase equal opportunities in a digitized society? And: What potential does digitization have for the region? "Kassel and the region have a lot to offer, but unfortunately hardly anyone talks about it. We want to change that by giving people from Kassel a stage with their great visions. TEDx is the ideal platform for this, to spread ideas from the region all over the world, but also to open our city to innovative ideas," say Katharina Berner and Benjamin Ross from the TEDx team. Speakers will include Adrian Wegener on digital inclusion, Lena Schaumann, founder of Lumizil and CEO of Möbel Schauman, and philosopher Zachary Goldberg on ethical design and use of new technologies.

The TEDx format was launched in the USA in 1984 and now has offshoots in over 170 countries. The so-called TED Talks are regular innovation conferences at which high-profile personalities present ideas for the future and solutions in short talks.

The Infinity Kassel association was founded in January 2021. Its goal is to bring together a new generation of individuals who are driving the development of sustainable innovations.
