After studying biology from 2006 to 2011 at the Technical University of Darmstadt, Franziska Rönicke completed her doctorate in 2015 at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) on the topic ‘Synthesis and in vivo screening of a cell-penetrating peptoid library to isolate organ-specific transporter molecules.’ Until 2023, she worked as a research associate in basic research and as the research coordinator for a DFG-funded Research Training Group. Since November 2023, Franziska Rönicke has been working as a program director at the Volkswagen Foundation in Hanover, where she is responsible for calls for proposals in the natural sciences within the funding framework of the ‘NEXT’ initiative.
