Withdrawal from enrollment / matriculation

If you do not want to start the study program for which you have applied for enrollment, you can withdraw from the enrollment. Withdrawal from enrollment is possible in the summer semester until 30.04. and in the winter semester until 31.10.. After that, only de-registration is possible.

You apply for withdrawal from enrollment online in the eCampus of the University of Kassel. To do this, log in to eCampus and go to "My studies → Applications" via the top left menu.

To submit an application for withdrawal from enrollment, click on the item "Exmatrikulation". Then select that you want to enter a new application. As "Reason", select "Withdrawal from enrollment". For a winter semester, select the de-registration date 01.10.xxxx and for a summer semester, select the de-registration date 01.04.xxxx. As soon as you have submitted your application, it has the status "Application submitted online" and you will find it under the overview "My submitted applications".

Once your application has been processed, you will be refunded the semester fee you paid, subject to a processing fee of 30.00 euros. Please note that the refund may take 4 - 6 weeks. You will not receive any further notification of the processed withdrawal. Withdrawal will cancel the enrollment and delete all recorded data. Withdrawal has no negative impact on enrollment at other universities or possible later enrollment at the University of Kassel.
