At Brüder-Grimm-Platz 4a, the "Murhard Library" is an important part of the Kassel University and State Library. This library alone has more than half a million volumes on linguistics and literature, German history, especially Hessian history, philosophy, music, law and medicine. The Hildebrandlied, the oldest major piece of German poetry, and numerous other treasures of book art are kept in the library.

Barrier-free access: Please use our elevator in the courtyard of the Murhard Library. Please use the bell and intercom.

    Tram Line 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8; Regio-Tram RT1, RT4.
    After a 5-minute walk in the direction of "Wilhelmshöher Allee" you will reach Brüder-Grimm-Platz.

  • From Kassel-Wilhelmshöhe (train station), take Tram Line 1 in the direction of Holländische Straße/Vellmar to the "Kassel Rathaus" stop.
