"Strategic Networking between Kassel and Argentina: Enhancing Research Profiles in Selected Scientific Fields"

Strategic partnerships are essential cornerstones in national and international cooperation. The Universität Kassel has stipulated the establishing of strategic partnerships with selected international higher education institutions worldwide in its policy paper "Internationalisation Strategy for the Third Period from 2011-2015" as one of the main objectives.

Long-lasting cooperation projects and exchange activities with Argentinian partner institutions and promising, recent cooperation developments made the Universität Kassel and its 7 Argentinian higher education partners decide to establish a strategic network aiming at enhancing joint research, mutual teaching and good practise in knowledge transfer. 

The 7 partner universities are: Universidad Nacional de San Martín (UNSAM)/Buenos Aires, Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA), Universidad Nacional de La Plata (UNLP)/La PLata/Buenos Aires, Universidad Nacional de Córdoba (UNC)/Córdoba, Universidad Nacional del Litoral (UNL)/Santa Fé, Universidad Nacional de Cuyo (UNCUYO)/Mendoza und die Universidad Nacional de Entre Ríos (UNER)/Parana.

From June 30 - July 3, 2014 scientists of the University of Kassel and participating Argentinian scientists will conduct the kick-off conference "Strategic Networking between Kassel and Argentina: Enhancing Research Profiles in Selected Scientific Fields". 

The conference aims at strengthening specific research profiles of the participating Argentinian universities and the University of Kassel by identifying potential research projects and corresponding research support programmes. Prior to the conference 6 research clusters (see website link) have been agreed on among the partners. Related research subjects will be given particular attention in several workshops and sessions during the conference.

The conference language will be English. The deadline for registration is: May, 4th, 2014.
