Extended abstract submission guidelines

Authors are invited to submit an extended abstract (maximum 500 words, plus references) by October 29, 2017. The abstract shall be submitted via the conference portal.

! Update 27.10.2017: The submission deadline for extended
abstracts is extended until November 05, 2017.

! Update 18.01.2018: The submission deadline for final papers is extended until January 28, 2018. 

Please structure the extended abstract according to the following segments:

  • Purpose
  • Design/methodology/approach
  • Findings
  • Practical implications
  • Originality/value


Please make sure that no author information appears in your submitted abstract, as all abstracts will undergo double blind review. In case you submit an abstract that contains any information that identify you or a co-author, the abstract will be removed from the system and you will be invited to resubmit.

Submission steps:

Register on the ConfTool website. Your account will be immediately created. When you are logged in, follow these steps to submit your extended abstract:

1.      Click on “Your Submissions”.

2.      Click on “Extended Abstract Submission”.

3.      Fill in the required text fields (marked with *) and click on “Proceed”.

4.      Check your entries and confirm your submission by clicking on “Complete Submission”.

Authors will be notified of acceptance or rejection by December 5, 2017. Feedback to the author(s) will be included. Authors of accepted abstracts will be invited to prepare and submit a final paper (10 pages maximum length including references) by January 28, 2018. At least one author must be registered by the same date for the paper to be included in the program.

Full paper submission guidelines

Authors of accepted abstracts will be invited to prepare a final paper to be submitted by January 28, 2018. All papers shall follow the EurOMA instructions for preparing a full paper and not exceed 10 pages including references. Please refer to the paper guidelines for detailed instructions. The full paper shall finally be submitted as a PDF file.

The forum will use different types of sessions, including working paper round table discussion and full paper formal presentation. 

To submit your full paper, please adhere to the following steps: 

1.    After Login (, please click on “Your Submissions”.
2.    Click on “Final Upload”.
3.    On the Upload Final Version page: First, delete the extended abstract in the field “Abstract” and copy-paste your short abstract from your final paper. The abstract in the final paper should not exceed 100 words. Second, at the bottom of the page, upload your PDF-file by clicking on the button “Choose a file…”. 

4.    Complete the paper upload by clicking on the button “Upload File(s) and Save Data”.

Please note that a paper not following the template and guidelines will be rejected. At least one author must be registered by the submission date for the paper to be included in the program.
