Aysha Akter Akhi

Aysha Akter Akhi is currently serving as an Internship Coordinator for the Master's Program in Labour Policies and Globalisation. Before taking on this role, she was associated with the Global Labour University (GLU) Online Academy. Aysha holds a Bachelor's degree in International Relations from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. Her career began as a Program Officer at the Solidarity Center- Dhaka office, where she successfully implemented projects related to the global labour movement. Additionally, she conducted research on climate change and migration.

Aysha has received training on fair recruitment from the ILO Training Center in Turin, Italy, and participated in the Engage Asia program organized by GLU and the University of the Philippines. Currently, she is pursuing a Master's degree in Global Political Economy and Development. Her areas of interest encompass migration, workers' rights, gender, and climate change.

Antonia Dietzfelbinger

Antonia Dietzfelbinger is student assistant in the working group of Global Political Economy of Labour under Consideration of Gender Relations.

She currently studies the M.A. Global Political Economy and Development at the University of Kassel. She holds a B.A. in Political Science and Sociology from the University of Bonn.

During internships and as a student assistant in various governmental and non-governmental organisations, she worked on topics such as child and forced labour in global supply chains, migration, and gender policies.  

Her main areas of interest are global production relations, informal labour sectors and Marxist-feminist perspectives on work and care work.

She supports the working group in research, publishing and organisational activities as well as Social Media.

Clemens Hillejan

Clemens Hillejan is a student assistant at the Global Labour University and supports the financial coordination of the third-party funded projects. He is studying Political Science and History in his bachelor's degree at the University of Kassel. His main interests are resources, Southern Africa, and financing social-ecological transformation.

Emilia Ternes

Emilia Ternes is student assistant in the working group of Global Political Economy of Labour.

She currently studies in the MA Political Science at the University of Kassel. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and History from the University of Bamberg.

During internships at various NGOs, she worked on topics such as raw materials policy, gender policy, digitalization & globalization.

She is interested in Political Ecology, marxist-feminist perspectives on labour and the varieties of political activism.

She supports the working group in research, teaching activities and social media.
