Das Team des Fachgebiets Supply Chain Management heißt Prof. Dr. Mark Heuer, Susqhehanna University, USA willkommen. Er ist als Gastwissenschaftler von Mai bis Juli 2016 an der Universität Kassel. Seine Lehrveranstaltung im SS2016: Business and Social Responsibility.

The publications of Prof. Seuring and his team are continously well cited. Recently, the H-Index of Prof. Seuring reached 40.

Am 11. Mai 2016 hat der Fachbereichsrat des FB Wirtschaftswissenschaften der Universität Kassel Herrn Dr. Marcus Brandenburg die Habilitation zuerkannt.
Herr Dr. Brandenburg hat eine Habilitationsschrift mit dem Titel "Quantitative Models for Sustainable Supply Chain Management" vorgelegt sowie am 3. Mai einen Habilitationsvortrag zum Thema „Analyzing the financial implications of operations management by secondary data" gehalten.

Prof. Stefan Seuring visited the University of Sheffield on 13th and 14th of April 2016 and gave a guest lecture on "Managing social issues and base-of-the pyramid from a Supply Chain Perspective".

Prof. Stefan Seuring has been invited as keynote speaker to the Operations and Supply Chain Management Conference.
It is one of the important conferences on the topic in Asia.

European Journal of Operational Research presented the Editors’ Award for Excellence in Reviewing 2016 to Marcus Brandenburg

Marcus Brandenburg received this award in recognition of an outstanding contribution to the quality of the Journal in 2015 with sincere thanks and very best wishes from the Editors of European Journal of Operational Research and the Directors of Elsevier B.V.

Computers and Operations Research awarded Marcus Brandenburg Outstanding Reviewer Status

Marcus Brandenburg is awarded this status as he is within the top 10th percentile of reviewers for this journal, in terms of the number of manuscript reviews completed in the past two years. For Computers and Operations Research, this meant a minimum of 4 reviews in two years. Since June 2015, Marcus Brandenburg generated five review reports for Computers and Operations Research.


Transportation Research Part E awarded Marcus Brandenburg Outstanding Reviewer Status

Marcus Brandenburg is awarded this status as he is within the top 10th
percentile of reviewers for the Journal, in terms of the number of
manuscript reviews completed in the last two years. Since April 2014,
Marcus Brandenburg generated eleven review reports for Transportation
Research Part E.

Prof. Seuring has been invited to join the Editorial Advisory Board of the International Journal of Physical Distribution and Logistics Management (Emerald). The Journal is among the premier outlets for empirical research on logistics and supply chain management.

28.01.2015:Most downloaded paper of a German scientist at sciencedirect:The paper on sustainable supply chain management authored by Prof. Stefan Seuring and Prof. Martin Müller, University of Ulm, is on top of the 100 Physical Sciences articles written by Germany-based authors most frequently downloaded from ScienceDirect since January 2005.

Two other papers of Prof. Seuring appear in the top list for social
sciences and economics.

One paper is another review on modelling sustainable supply chains,
while the second on activity based costing.

Research Publication Output recognised:
Prof. Stefan Seuring is listed on place 59 for research output in the last 5 years.
The Handelsblatt, the major daily German business newspaper, has for the third time evaluated the publication performance of German-speaking business professors. The Handelsblatt explains that a total of 2600 researchers have been evaluated. Since the list was first published in 2009, Prof. Seuring has always been listed among the top 100 researchers.

The research papers published by Prof. Stefan Seuring have reached 1000 citations for this year against data from Google Scholar.

Prof. Seuring has been invited to join the editorial board of the journal Business Research.

Doktorandenseminar vom 29. bis 30.09.2014 an der Universität Kassel

We are happy to welcome as a visiting academic Dr. Chuda Basnet from New Zealand from 25th of April to 1st of June.

Prof. Seuring has been invited to give a keynote presentation at the SIMPOI conference in Brazil in August 2014.
It is the largest conference for logistics, operations and supply chain
management in South America.

Prof. Stefan Seuring und Dr. Stefan Gold (jetzt an der Universität Neuchatel, Schweiz) erhalten den Outstanding Paper Award der Zeitschrift "Supply Chain Management - An International Journal" für 2013 für den Beitrag
