Status and failure of ALECA free trade agreement between the EU and Tunisia
Background: Recently the EU and Tunisia negotiated a free trade agreement in which agriculture played an important role. The negotiations were ended without an agreement. The work aims to describe the negotiatons, positions and their justification, the reasons for the failure to agree what this implies for the EU and its relations to its neighbouring countries and the role of agriculture in such negotiations.
Aim: To reconstruct the negotiations of the ALECA Free Trade Agreement between Tunisia and the EU, to explain its failure and / or how it relates to the role of agriculture in EU neighbourhood relations.
