IES involved in Cooperation between University of Kassel and Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin

The University of Kassel and the Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin are setting up a joint laboratory for the use of artificial intelligence to further develop experimental methods in the natural and technical sciences. The flagship of the Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin is BESSY II - this large-scale research facility for generating intensive electromagnetic radiation enjoys an excellent reputation among researchers worldwide. With the help of the X-ray light from BESSY II, they are gaining insights into the efficient production of hydrogen from sunlight, new active substances against cancer or quantum materials for energy-efficient IT technologies of the future and many other things. The Joint Lab develops and applies methods of artificial intelligence for this purpose. [more (german)]
