Biography  (Koushik Samanta)

I worked as a Research Engineer at Mercedes-Benz in Bengaluru, focusing on Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) validation for electric drive systems—building CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and ECU-TEST to automate regression testing and even dabbling in generative AI for drive scenarios. I completed my MS by Research in E-Mobility at IIT Guwahati, where I developed a cloud-based testing and management system for lithium-ion batteries in EVs, easing onboard computation with parameter estimation. I also hold a B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering from Techno India College. Now, I’m excited to dive into observer design and system identification, drawing from my battery project experience to tackle intelligent energy management in renewable systems.
