From October 7 to 10, 2019, the "Girls Go Informatics" workshop took place for the second time in the ComTec department. Nine girls from the 10th grade onwards had a lot of fun learning how to program their own first computer game and the basics of computer science. The participants gained insights into the professional lives of three female computer scientists and into studying computer science. Many prejudices and fears were dispelled. The workshop was led by Bianca Untermann (Micromata GmbH) and Judith Heinisch (ComTec).
The workshop is a joint project of the Department of Electrical Engineering/Computer Science at the University of Kassel, MINT Werra-Meißner-Kreis e. V. and Micromata GmbH.
